Going at a Snail's Pace - 4 inch tall clay figurine painted with acrylic and coated in UV resin. An attempt towards making custom figures for dioramas. Made April 24th, 2024.
The Pitstop - colored pencil on black paper. A side project I did between classes that grew out of control. Made September 11th, 2024.

MINA GOMEZ
Mina Gomez was born in 2003 in Los Angeles, California. She is anticipated to receive her Bachelor’s degree in illustration at the Art Academy of Cincinnati in May 2025. Gomez’s work primarily focuses on evoking the same joy of exploring fantastical environments as 3D platforming games like Super Mario Galaxy. Cosmic, a comet given sapience and who the viewer sees wandering these worlds, filters these abstract locales through the lens of her personal experiences. Each illustration depicts a candid moment Cosmic finds beautiful and memorable in her journey across the universe to find her family.Gomez incorporates this narrative into works that skate between two- and three-dimensional mediums, including—but not limited to—acrylics, pencils, oils, resin, and clay. She illustrates digitally on programs such as Clip Studio Paint as well. Gomez currently lives and works in Brentwood, Tennessee.Mina currently works on a freelance basis and can be contacted for commercial inquiries at [email protected].
